What I like about being adopted is ……… having all my friends at school and such an amazing family and all the fun and adventures we have like chilling, cycling, judo and simply being together with my family :-).
Most of the children and young people who are adopted and fostered through St Andrew’s Children’s Society have had a very difficult start in life.
Some will have suffered sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse. Many will have experienced emotional and/or physical neglect.
A lot of the children and young people will have lived in homes where drug abuse, mental health issues and domestic abuse were common.
Many will have been separated from their siblings and through multiple moves, lost important people in their lives. These adverse childhood experiences result in them suffering terrible trauma, often for the rest of their lives.
By supporting St Andrew’s Children’s Society, you can help us support them to overcome this trauma and thrive.
