Would you like to speak to someone who’s already been through the whole adoption process and is now an approved adopter, to help you make your decision?

We can help you

If you’re thinking about adopting through St Andrew’s Children’s Society, you can speak to one of our adopters. They would be happy to answer your questions and share their adoption journey experiences with you.

How would the meeting take place?

We will match you with a suitable adopter from St Andrew’s Children’s Society and then arrange a mutually convenient time for you to meet.

You can chat with our adopter over the phone, meet them virtually or communicate with them by email.

We will send you an adoption pack and ask you about the types of questions you would like to ask our adopter.

We do this so that we can arrange the meeting with an adopter who has experienced what you want to talk about. For example, if you are thinking about adopting siblings, we would match you with an adopter who has adopted siblings.

We welcome adoption enquiries from people who live within 60 miles of Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Elgin.
