New Families Virtual Community
Starting February 2026, we’re launching our New Families Virtual Community, a new Virtual Support Group specifically for newly approved adopters. This group will meet monthly and provide a welcoming space to both give and receive support during the family finding journey and the early stages of placement. It’s a chance to connect with others who are navigating similar experiences, share insights, ask questions, and build a sense of community.
The New Families Virtual Community will take place on the 1st Thursday of every month:
- 5th Feb 7pm-8.30pm = 1st Group
- 5th March 7pm-8.30pm – Speaker Kate Richardson from AFKA Scotland
- 2nd April 7pm-8.30pm
- 7th May 7pm-8.30pm
- 4th June 7pm-8.30pm
- 2nd July 7pm.8.30pm
- 6th August 7pm-8.30pm
- 3rd Sept 7pm-8.30pm
- 1st Oct 7pm-8.30pm
- 5th Nov 7pm-8.30pm
- 3rd Dec 7pm-8.30pm

The New Families Virtual Community will take place on Zoom. You will be sent the joining instructions once you register.
